Buy a Vintage Electric Guitar
A vintage Guitar is not a True Antique. In order for an electric guitar to be an antique guitar it needs to be at least 100 years old.
A Vintage guitar is a guitar made between 1920 and 1970.
When buying a vintage electric guitar there are several things you should keep an eye on.
~ Does the guitar have its original hardware
~ Does it have its original finish with worn wood, cracks and dents
~ How is the quality of the wood. Mahogany and Maple are commonly used wood on vintage electric guitars. Other woods areash and alder as well as Brazilian Rosewood
~ Original hardware is important: check pegs, bridges and pick-ups
~ Be aware of loose neck joints and loose hardware
