Westward Journey Nickel Series; 3 year collection, features three nickels of each design from 2004, 2005 and 2006. This is a total of 15 nickels, both uncirculated and Proof coins. Each set contains? The uncirculated Philadelphia ?P? mint mark nickel(s), The uncirculated Denver ?D? mint mark nickel(s) The proof San Francisco ?S? mint mark nickel(s). These coins are sealed in the clear protective lens as received from the US Mint with certificate of Authenticity and packaged in the original US Mint Packaging. This series will not be available from the US mint again, and as their rarity is realized their value will increase. Complete sets are harder and harder to find. 2004 marks the first year of the Westward Journey Nickel Series featuring two new reverse designs; The "Louisiana Purchase/Peace Medal" and The "Keelboat." This set contains six nickels, offering both nickel designs from all three Mints. 2005 features a new obverse of Jefferson and two new reverse designs; The "American Bison" and The "Ocean in View." This set also contains six nickels, offering both nickel designs for 2005 from all three mints. 2006 Westward Journey Nickel Series Coin Set is the third and final set in this series. This set includes three nickels from all three mints; featuring the 2006 ?Return to Monticello? nickel which will remain in circulation for years to come. In Addition.... ALL 5 OF THE WESTWARD JOURNEY FIRST DAY COIN COVERS THERE MAY BE LESS THAN 25,000 COMPLETE SETS OF THESE COIN COVERS!!! These Limited Edition Covers are still sealed in the white cardboard mailers, as received from the US Mint; making them worth much more money than if they were opened. Sold Out at the US Mint, Very few of these coin covers remain in Pristine Unopened Condition. The only marking on the white cardboard mailers, is the mint designation Q##. No Mailing Labels, No Writing, No Other Markings ALL 5 COVERS ARE SEALED IN THEIR WHITE ENVELOPES AS RECIEVED FORM THE US MINT #1 Q67 2004 PEACE MEDAL NICKEL FDC The 2004 Peace Medal Nickel Official First Day Coin Cover is the first in the series. The designs featured on the 2006 "Return to Monticello" Nickel will remain in circulation for years to come. This limited-edition cover of up to 50,000 sets features two "Return to Monticello" nickels from the first day of mintage, January 4, 2006, at the United States Mint at Philadelphia and December 29, 2005, at the United States Mint at Denver. Each cover includes a handsome display card with the 39-cent United States Lady Liberty and Flag postage stamp. The postmark of January 12, 2006, Charlottesville, Virginia, marks the day the "Return to Monticello" nickels were first released to the Federal Reserve Bank and to the public. The Mintage numbers cited in the descriptions above were the upper limits of the planned production limits, Remember the "Mint Sale"?, not all of these covers sold; therefore there cannot be 50,000 possible complete sets, various sources speculate that only 25,000 possible sets may be out there, not counting opened or damaged covers. This makes these covers rare and collectable. Also since these covers are still mint sealed, they are eligable for grading by NGC. NGC can grade the enclosed coins and seal the entire US Mint cover within a clear semi-rigid plastic sleeve.
