Great Drill, Lousy Batteries by .. Daniel Holt (New York City) I was very happy with this drill at first. It handles well, has plenty of torque for most jobs, and the batteries recharge fast. But the batteries run down fast, even when I'm not using them. If I give the batteries a full charge and then put them away in the case, a week later they're close to dead, even if I haven't used them. Replacement batteries are expensive and I'm not sure they'd be any better. Of course, the problem I'm having only began after the warranty expired.
Great for the beginner. Compact drill. Easy to use. by .. Vijay Krishna (Rochester NY) Alright: All I can say is this is a great compact drill for the beginner. I use it for small jobs around the house. Works like a charm. I'm using a Bosch CC2130 Clic-Change 27-Piece Drilling and Driving Set with Clic-Change Chuck with this drill. My first job was to drill into my kitchen cabinets to child proof them - this drill did the job well with perfect professional results.
I love this new toy.
I'm sure like other reviewers have mentioned, that this bad boy is capable of more serious workouts - but it's just the right size and power for a beginner to not cause too much damage during the learning process and yet have enough oomph to deliver...
All you people out there who're itching to buy a 1st drill: look no further.
Cool little devil by .. D. Hiles (Philadelphia) Battery still seems fully charged after building a woodshed. Easy to control, a little whiney, but who cares. It works great wherever I set the clutch. Well worth the bucks!
Good while it lasted by .. Crusty Analyst (Midland, Texas, United States) I bought the drill 2 years ago. It was kept inside the house. I used it occasionally. It worked well. Now, neither battery will hold a charge. I am unimpressed.
