Ramirez (Verona, WI) After reviewing previous reviews on this saw, I purchased it and I was glad I did,I feel I got my monies worth. The saw is sturdy, good quality built and it looks like it can be used of heavy work, mine was in the medium range. The saw is light enough that can be operated with ease at any speed - very easy to change the blade to cut up or down and or for replacement. I am a younger home owner but very handy and living in an older home. I was able to get through the older, studier, 2x6 framing with a new wood blade without any hesitation from the saw. 1/4 inch rebar with metal cutting blade - no problem. Llamaguy (Denver, CO) The Sawzall stands up to all expectations. As soon as I picked it up I knew it was made to work hard and last long. In a couple of weeks I've used it for dozens of jobs, including cutting roots off an old maple tree stump. It handles well, cuts fast and accurately, and truly does cuts that none of my other saws (powered or not) could do. I have a co-worker who has a similar battery powered saw (another brand). I am glad I got one running on plug-in power. The minor inconvenience of the cord is more than offset by being able to keep on cutting as long as the job requires. Better than expected by .. A. Even though it's a variable speed saw, it would have been nice to have a high-low variable speed for cutting real slow. Love the quick change release for the blades. No hassles at all changing blades out. Worth the price.
