Persons with dry skin should concentrate highly on their diet. Good clear skin is a reflection of a well operating non-constipated digestive system. So for proper digestion they should include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of pure, filtered and unchlorinated water. Include a lot of fresh juices especially carrot juice as it contains a great deal of nutrients, which is beneficial not only for dry skin but also for other skin problems like eczema, acne, zits, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and other types of breakouts. It is also an excellent cleanser for the liver. So drink freshly extracted carrot juice daily, as it is great for your skin. Apart from drinking a lot of pure water spring water on your face at least a quart or more every day. Dry and pat your skin very gently and thoroughly after a bath or shower if it is extremely dry or red and irritated. Do not use soaps that are harsh on your skin always use very mild cleansers or soaps for cleaning your skin, if necessary. Coconut oil is a very inexpensive and cheap home remedy for all skin types. It is not only good for the dry skin but also for all types of skin. Coconut oil is good and safe for all skin conditions, skin eruptions, pimples, acne, eczema, milia, irritations, cuts, burns, fungus, etc. Coconut oil is best for healing. It soothes and moistens the skin. Apply virgin coconut oil to your skin several times a day and do not forget to apply it at the bedtime. Coconut oil is edible and safe so it can also be applied to the irritated or chapped lips. Apart from coconut oil various bath oils and moisturizers available can also be applied for the dry skin. But among these oils coconut oil has the added power of healing and can be said as the best.
Always keep your skin clean. When the skin is not clean its functions are disturbed and thus it is damaged more easily. Skin is capable in releasing the antibacterial compound to prevent infections but once the skin is not clean and delicate then the release of antibacterial compounds decreases and it is more prone to develop infections and supports its own ecosystem of microorganisms, including yeast and bacteria.
