It was purchased as a replacement for another Presto Pressure cooker I had for 20 years, that finally gave up. The new cooker is just wonderful. The lid goes on easily, it has a safety mechanism preventing you from removing the lid before the pressure is released and a safety plug that will pop if the pressure becomes unsafe. The handles are ergonomic and help you to comfortably lift the cooker when heavy. The instruction manual comes with 70 recipes and all that I have tried have been delicious.
