Our baby loves these spoons. They hold enough to finish a meal in a reasonable number of bites, but not so much that she spits half of it back out. The white "spoon" part is quite thin, but sturdy, so it is easy for him to stick in his mouth and get all the food. Babies are not like adults that know how to use their lips to take stuff off the spoon. It should be a little flatter so the food slides right off once in their mouth. With help to load the spoon, she was able to get it to her mouth without losing the food, big smiles followed. Now at 16 months she can self-feed, which makes her happy and gives Mom a break. Even foods like her breakfast O's and rice can be easily scooped with these well-designed utensils. The handles are slightly textured, rubbery, and thick, perfect for little hands to grip. These are well worth the cost, highly recommended.
