He's cutting 4 teeth on the top right now and the chilled apple slices he's currently enjoying are really helping him today. It's easy to use, the perfect size for his little hands and is also keeping him happily occupied while mommy gets some work done. Great product! Do be prepared for your baby to make a mess though, the sticky apple juice is all over him, as any food would be! Works too well - can't taste the food! by .. Anjali Lu (SF) The product works well, in theory. Locked the food in place with no problem. Easy to grip. But the mesh is super thick and large. My little girl, who loves food and puts everything in her mouth, didn't want to put this in her mouth. She tried it, made an awful face and refused to put it near her face again. I introduced at 6 months, and then every few weeks after that. I've since given up. I don't blame her. I tried to eat an apple slice through it. I got hardly any juice and the feel of the mesh in my mouth was gross. Very unappetizing. Maybe if they had a thinner mesh?? Love it! by .. Michael and Ryan's Mom (Philadelphia, PA) I absolutely loved this for both of my kids. I used it for frozen fruits, biter biscuits, anything that they could possibly choke on. I have tried other brands as well and as someone else said it is bigger than some others which is nice. The mesh bags are also removable and extras are available which comes in handy while you are out and need a clean bag but have no way of cleaning the dirty one. I also agree that it is a little difficult to open, I found a method. If you put your middle finger through the handle (like holding the handle with your middle finger) and put your thumb on one button and your forefinger on the other, and twist and it should come open easily. Donato () I bought this because my 2 sister-in-laws swore by it...but my son never really took to it & by the time he did, he was eating fruit in pieces anyway. I wouldn't really recommend this to anyone, unless a hot summer would make this a good product...I put ice cubes in this while my son was teething, but he was more fascinated with an ice cube sitting in front of him then with chewing on this. good idea but just was very useful for my son loved it until... by .. michelle b (tennessee) At first I thought this was a wonderful item. My daughter enjoyed so many different fruits with gusto using this. Until I noticed food particles under the chiller part that I couldn't get out. I scrubbed, soaked, poked, and tried everything to get the bits out but couldn't. So now she doesn't use it anymore. If the chiller piece came completely out for cleaning it would be wonderful.
