The pieces have a good heft to them, look very nice and include great extras like steak knives and all kinds of serving pieces. (In fact, the pieces are sized so that, for a casual yard party, you can give some people steak knife/soup spoon/salad fork and actually serve 24 people per set). There are plenty of pieces and the hostess serving pieces are great. This is my second set of Reed & Barton and I don't think I will ever buy any other brand.
