Not that much but still. It also could be a bit deeper to hold more flatware. For a place setting of 4 knife, fork, soup spoon, and teaspoon it will be fine. I'm happy to say my fears were completely erased when I finally got it. All 16 spoons, forks, knives and service pieces fit PERFECTLY with some room to spare! I like that it looks attractive too. Conspicuous Consumer () I took out the perfectly functional tray in the drawer and replaced it with this one. But, because of the tray's design and height I could place more utensils in the drawer and arrange them more functionally. My only wish is that they made a wider version or an adjustable version. My drawers are both longer and wider than this tray. Next time it goes on sale, I'm buying three more. Great Wooden Flatware Tray by .. T. Freund (Moriches NY) This is a solid high quality wooden flatware tray. It is well constructed and has a nice smooth finish. It will last for many years to come. Much nicer then the cheap plastic or metal ones. It fits my needs perfectly. Another great Henckels product at a great price at Amazon.
