This was the first of its kind in 1975 and I still use mine today.This Manual IS Needed so you can program the 16 channels. Has 32 pages on the use and how to program the scanner and has extra programing sheets and there are pages to save you switch setting for the frequencys you enter for your location.It comes in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) so you can read it on your computer and allways have a copy , and you can print it out if you want.
