Japonese wrestling, often called Japan Pro Wrestling, is a comparatively current arrival in Japan in comparison to its more ancient opposite number Sumo wrestling. As an adaptation of standard Yankee pro wrestling, Japonese wrestling never really started in its home country until Rikid_zan made it gigantic by inspiring his fellow citizens shortly after World War II. From then on, the sport practically snowballed into a countrywide sport that saw the increase and stay of professional wrestling in the Japanese culture.Rikid_zan's death in 1963 had split the once-unified professional wrestling organization of Japan into two main factions, with two successors each taking another approach to wrestling. Japonese wrestling would be associated to a few fights and names under them. This would include : manabu nakanishi, shinsuke nakamura, taguchi & prince devitt, black tiger & jado, togi makabe & tomoaki, makabe & tomoaki honma, takashi iizuka & tomohiro, iizuka & tomohiro ishii, and many others. Being the 'left-wing' style of wrestling, combat (or shoot) wrestling incorporates moves you would seldom see on American wrestling: kicks and punches go with a fighter's multitude of moves ; targeting primarily to make a 'fight' rather than a 'show' to its fans. This makes combat wrestling a nick more deadly and practical than its flashier and more dramatic counterpart.King's RoadIf you ever observed Yank wrestling, then you'd be acquainted with the way in which the King's Road approach to Japonese wrestling took off : submissions, fights and some background stories all work in partnership to create a cinematic effect - normal America wrestling in its purest form. The End ResultIn reality, the lines differentiating both styles of professional Japonese wrestling blurred ; leading to a style of wrestling that is uniquely Japanese in nature. Watching most Yankee pro wrestling matches is like seeing a noontime soap drama - except with more muscles and testosterone attached. Even the energy of the matches is different - Japonese wrestling has a more competitive and edgy feel to it than its Yankee opposite number. This edgy feel isn't generated by the fluff surrounding the matches, but by the fighters themselves as they duke it out for the titles.
