"Good summer gloves with one small complaint" 2009-05-19By

I picked these up because they looked like a good summer glove - soft leather with a good amount of mesh to keep ait flowing as well as some gel padding to reduce fatigue from vibration.
And they pretty much do what I hoped. I bought them in a medium and after about 10 hours they stretch a tiny bit to fit my hand comfortably. The gel padding on the palm and knuckles do a good job of reducing hand fatigue on longer trips (especially if you drive an older Honda twin, like I do). These don't have any armor on them, so I don't think the gel padding on the knuckles will do much in a wreck, but I guess any little bit helps.
The one small problem I have with them is the fingertips. The way the fingertips are sown together adds a small amount of extra material on the inside of the glove fingertips. Initially it was a little uncomfortable because I wasn't used to it. However - once these stretched after breaking them in, it doesn't bother me anymore. If you wore these with a thin liner you probably wouldn't notice it at all. As with all motorcycle gear - a little breakin is required.
Overall these are really great summer gloves. Great quality, they look good, and I'm glad they are part of my gear. Just don't expect an armored glove that will protect your knuckles in a laydown.
