The Star Wars Miniatures game from Wizards of the Coast is a board game played with pre-painted plastic molds of characters from the Star Wars Universe. A game can usually be completed in less than an hour. Other than the figurines, you will need a map and a 20 sided die (included in the starter set).
Star Wars Miniatures games are strategic in nature ranging from easy to complex. The more miniatures involved in the battle, the more complex the strategies become. However, only two miniatures per side can perform actions each turn. This keep the game fast paced, but requires planning ahead when more than two miniatures are on each side.
Overall, Star Wars Miniatures games are fun to play because the games are fast and do require you do some thinking when putting together your teams and planning your moves during the battle.

Miniatures represent a diverse range of Star Wars characters: Rebels, Imperials, Jedi, scoundrels, and aliens from all walks in life. Each miniature is at 34mm scale. They range in size from small to large.
Star Wars Miniatures Stat Cards
Each miniature comes with a two-sided stat card. One side has the character's description for skirmish combat. Each character's strengths, weaknesses, Force powers, and special abilities are spelled out. Some miniatures are commanders, and they improve the fighting ability of the other characters in their squads.
The other side of the stat card has the sketch of the character used to create the miniature.
