Customer Reviews Great pedal by .. John Smith () This pedal will last forever. I have not had any battery problems with it (I unplug chords when I'm done with them) and it is made from hard durable steel. It is easy to adjust the sound and to do simple things such as change the battery. You can adjust the tone, the amount of distortion, and the level. It comes with a little packet of tones that tell you how to get different sounds (although its much more fun to mess around with it before looking at that packet. I recommend this pedal to any guitar player looking for a new sound.
Must Have! by .. Honda 150r () Like the title says it's a must have for all guitarists. Even though it's more expensive than a digital pedal; it is way better. Most famous rock guitarists use this pedal. If you have trouble with battery life remember to stop the battery from draining all the time you have to unplug the input chord. Buy this product if you love rock.
If you play guitar you should probably have this by .. S. Setts (Dover,Delaware) I love it. it gives your guitar an extra set of balls, even though my Eastwood Gemini already came with a set, the DS-1 gives it an evil sounding mean tone. The distortion is nice, good feedback. But the Tone, the tone is what sells this thing, other than um of course the distortion. Buy It, you might wish you did sooner.
BOSS TO THE MAX! by .. Banzai BigJ (California) I have researched Boss and all of the kind of pedals it has to offer. Even though this little inexpensive pedal (compared to other BOSS products) does not look like much, IT PACKS A PUNCH. I seriously was blown away by the quality sound that it drives out. I felt like my epiphone firebird transformed into a metal machine! If you are new to effects pedals, this product is definitely worth your time.
Distorts sound, just like it says by .. D. Blackburn (Philly) I have had this pedal for about 15 years, just replaced the old one a month ago. It distorts sound, not quite the way you would imagine though. This effect sounds really good through a fat cab or a larger amp that can let the cabinet give the tone a little color. I use it through a Epiphone Valve Jr and a Marshall 2x12 stack with JTM45 on top and its fine. This thing through a Champ or smaller amp will not give you the meat you are probably looking for without a EQ pedal.
This does just what it says it does. One Volume knob, one tone, and one distortion knob. CRANK IT.
