Temken () The first kit that arrived looked like it had been thrown down some stairs, the case was dented and everything inside was loose...all the bases were chipped and marked. This was not surprising since the inside of the case isn't really designed to hold the accessories, everything is just thrown in. Since the packing and shipping box were fine, it appears Freud has some quality control issues. Amazon, to their credit, immediately replaced to kit but I was not impressed with the quality of the replacement either. The motor is decent quality (not great) and has sufficient power, but the bases are cheap and sloppy. This trimmer works fine for playing around and general shop work; however, I would not trust it to trim any high end job where perfection is required...which is why most people would purchase such an item. I'll continue to buy Freud blades, but this is the last Freud power tool I'll ever purchase. Freud FT750T average at best by .. R-Toolman (Houston) The good news is that this laminate trimmer has plenty of power. The bad news is that it has no spindle lock, so changing bits is somewhat clumsy. Also, the instructions for the included edge guides are so poorly written as to be useless. The guides themselves are poorly designed and very difficult to get much benefit from. Overall, an average tool at best. I'll dig out my old trusty Craftsman again and probably put the Freud in my next garage sale. Excellent Trim Router by .. This laminate trimmer has a 6.6amp motor compared to the Harbor Freight model that has a 2.4amp motor(no additional accessories), DeWalt 5.6amp (with all the same accessories as this model for $50 more) and the Porter Cable (same price without all the accessories) with a 5.6amp motor. This model comes with the offset base and the angle base allowing you to change for whatever your application without buying other parts. It is easy to adjust with its micro adjustment especially when doing countertops, my main use. Don't hesiate to purchase this unit. harbor freight quality by .. Mark L.
