Value-priced powerhouse by .. M. Ebben () I purchased this machine a few weeks ago and other than some minor compatibility issues with my Antivirus software (CA ISS), I've really enjoyed it. Bloatware from the factory is kept to a minimum so there isn't a bunch of garbage to uninstall from the get-go. The thing boots insanely fast and has little trouble executing multiple complicated instructions at the same time. Just as a test, once installed, I launched Windows media player, Winamp, Itunes, Firefox, Thunderbird, IE, and Trillian as quickly as I could through the quick launch to see just how fast the machine was. I couldn't move fast enough to create resource contention. SWEET.
My only complaints are:
Trackpad mouse buttons are too loud and too hard to depress.
Keyboard is not quite as resistive as I'd like/slow to rebound for a fast typer.
It's a dust and fingerprint magnet.
Too much black space at the top and bottom of screen. This machine could be shorter/smaller and still pack the same punch.
Speakers are very tinny.
All in all, it's a great product and one I'd recommend to anyone who is looking for desktop replacement power, speed, and storage, but doesn't want or need a 17" display.
