After reading the positive reviews about the Oral-B Professional, I decided to get one. The first time I used it, what a difference. I use the plak remover head, and my teeth feel cleaner, especially at the gum line, than they ever felt with the Sonicare. 2 minutes with this, you'll feel a new clean. Oral-B Professional Care 7400 Rechargeable Toothbrush by .. Joann 101 (California) After reviewing several electric toothbrushes, I decided on the Oral-B 7400. I didn't realize at the time that there is only one cleaning mode but that turned out to be okay. I thought I might need a sensitive mode in order to not hurt my gums. Instead, I ordered softer brush refills which solved the problem. I drink tea which stains my teeth. I tried baking soda to remove the stain but that didn't help. After using this brush for a few weeks, the stains were gone. Like others have said in their reviews, my dental hygienist noticed an improvement in my teeth. I'm very happy with this brush and have bought two more for my daughters. Much better than a regular toothbrush by .. C. Miller () I finally broke down and decided it was time to get a power toothbrush. I decided to go with the Oral-B over the Sonicare per dentist recommendation. I am very happy with the decision. It does take a little time getting used to brushing with a power toothbrush over a regular one. You have to get used to letting the toothbrush do the work. You also have to get used to the pulsating action, it can feel a little weird the first couple of brushes. I have been working on brushing for the full 2 mins, I don't find it that hard to do. It goes by pretty fast for me. I use the toothbrush's built-in timer. I also don't have a problem with the toothbrush heads. I find I can reach the back teeth easier with this than a manual toothbrush. It is really not that uncomfortable for me either. One thing I found that is an added bonus with this toothbrush are the "Made in" stampings on both the toothbrush and the charging base. I prefer to purchase as many things as I can that are made in America or Germany. It turns out both this toothbrush and charging base are made in Germany and not China. I am also not certain about the reviews of this product stating that they meant to order the 7550 and got this toothbrush. I just ordered mine last week and I got what I ordered, the 7400.
