Jeff Jones () Made of metal, all parts work as specified, good construction, setup is a breeze, I know it's just a mic stand but I have used some that were a little tricky, not this one. I highly recommend these stands especially at this price, why pay more for a mic. stand just because so and so uses it, you need it to do the job of holding your mic at a certain level. some prefer the heavy metal solid bases, these are the tripod type which I like. this does the job and like I said earlier it has the boom with it at a flea market price, great!! Very well made and at this price, you can not go wrong. All metal legs, stand and boom. The connections are good quality metal or plastic, but this is not cheaply made. Rubber feet caps. It's a fairly standard boom stand, that seems on par with anything you'd find on a stage or in an A/V companies inventory. No complaints with this unit so far, and I don't see any arising because it seems pretty durable. It also includes a small plastic clip that keeps your mic cable flush with the stand, to give it a clean appearance. it's nicer than the picture shows by .. D.
