This is a female German Shepard. Her age is approx. five to seven years.
SHE DOES HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS.
When our neighbors moved out they left her in our yard. She was underfed, covered with ticks and fleas, and her coat was long, mangy and matted. We have good reason to believe she was abused, as the is MORTIFIED of water hoses, or water at any high velocity. She also won't eat in front of people. She is wonderfully sweet, slightly timid. If something scares her she will crawl under your legs to hide, it's adorable, especially b/c she weighs about 80lbs.
She gets along fine with other dogs, but we think she'll do best in a house without other dogs, cats, or children.
She needs a lot of love and attention, and perhaps one day she will spry and beautiful again.
She does not have mange, the reason her hair is so sloppy in the picture is that we had to shave her because of the fleas, and our buzzer is not very good. She no longer has any infestations whatsoever.
The reason we are getting rid of her is b/c we have other dogs and we simply can not afford to care for her anymore.
Be prepared for an extensive interview, as we want to make sure someone who takes her can give her the love and attention she very much deserves!
