Customer Reviews Tune up by .. S. L. Hankins () Replaced a damaged GA-30 with the GA-40. I like the larger screen and it seems to be more accurate. Worth the upgrade!
broken by .. taxed to death (NC) Tuner never worked. Seller failed to send a return label and harassed me by phone and email for negative feedback.
KORG 40 Tuner by .. Music Lover (FL) I ordered this tuner thinking it might help as far as tuning a guitar. I found it kind of hard to use. For years I tuned by ear, so using this is new to me. It does help to get the first string in the right range, but afteward, if I went by the meter, it sounded terrible, so I just reverted back to tuning by ear. If you are a beginner it may be the perfect item for you especially if you have an instructor who can tutor you with it's use. Overall I wasn't too impressed with it, but it could be because I've never used one.
Easy to use by .. Genell S. Baun (West Bend, WI) My 12 year old plays the bass and having not taken a musical instrument myself, I have no idea if the sound coming out is in tune or not. Rather than taking the bass back and forth to school, my son has learned to tune his own right here at home. Looks simple and the sound is superb when he keeps up with it. Nice to have at home. Portable.
Korg GA-40 by .. S. Cohen (LA) This is not a chromatic tuner. It ONLY displays E,A,D,G,B&E and whether they are flat or sharp. That wasn't clear when I bought the product, and I would have purchased the cheaper GA-30, which is chromatic, if I had known. I play upright bass and like to use it to check my intonation. Because this tuner is specifically for bass I thought it might track the low notes better, but the GA 30 is definitely a better product. I think this tuner is more suited to rock guitarists that like to use lowered tunings.
