Have it hooked up to on-board video, so no pricey video card is being used. In this case it's not used for gaming, but performs very well for "everyday" tasks, including: Microsoft Word, Publisher, Internet Explorer, and showing videos. One point...don't assume that you can just quickly set it up by using the existing cords from your other monitor. We were lazy and did just that. We had all kinds of problems with the video quality of the picture. We were ready to send it back when we decided to try using the cords that came with it. Bingo! No more problems. I was not accustomed to widescreen prior to my purchase, but I love this monitor, it was quick to set up, just plug in and go. I also do a lot of online gaming, and this monitor is awesome for that. I give it 5 stars, because it is a crisp, clear quality picture that is truely amazing, and Acer had great reviews on their products.
