A so called "water car" is not hard to build and in one way, water can be used "for gas" but what doe that jargon mean? Obviously nothing literal! - Right, the headline only tries to sharpen the point. It is a question of a phenomenon that accelerates the burning of a fuel by inserting a small amount of water into it. Already in ancient times, it was known that a small amount of water does not stop a big blaze but on the contrary, it accelerates the fire. That is, because the water works as a catalyst, causing the burning to happen more effectively. Now, the method used is more sophisticated. A small amount of water is placed under an electric voltage that electrolyses or decomposes the water into hydrogen, oxygen, transformed water and water vapor. Those ingredients then are led into the combustion-chambers of a combustion motor. There they react fierily with the fuel vapor and each other, especially the hydrogen, causing the combustion to occur more effectively and cleanly.
