Hello,

How about today we talk about hydration for todays motorcycle school tip. With the hot weather approaching us it is
time to be sure that we are properly hydrating. Hydration shouldnt be just done the day before the race or trailride. It
is helpful but it should be something you do all week, a normal part of your life. It should be part of your lifestyle.

I recomend drinking a gallon of water 75% and 25% of gatorade mix. The staright water tends to flush out your
system too much, and gatorade staright has too much sugar. But gatorade has the needed electrolytes. So I think this is best.
Stay away from all energy drinks such as Monster, Red Bull,or Rockstar. They are loaded with way too much sugar, and will
give you that neede energy boost but not for very long and will cause your body too crash. Also I have found in motorcycle
schools to stay away from powder drink mixes. These are also loaded with too much sugar, which will give you an upset
stomach on really hot days.

So for motorcycle school tip for hydration I recomend water and gatorade mix, stay away from all those high
priced powder mixes and loaded with sugar energy drinks. However, if you are preparing for a long day on the bike
in extreme heat then I would say to try pedylite. Yes, the same stuff they give babies for dehydration. I would drink
it the night before. The sell it in the baby isle at any grocery store. They also have it in different flavors. For some it
tastes not so desireable, but you will be happy with the result. Also in a pinch to help prevent dehydration and cramping,
take a few gulps of pickle juice, right out of a pickle jar. I hope this tip has helped you be more prepared for the heat.
