A couple customer reviews Great standalone!I have owned this for two months and have nothing but good thigns to
say about it. Load/start-up time is MUCH quicker than my other blu-ray
player (Samsung BDP1400) and from what I have read, much quicker than
most blu-ray players. i would say that it takes about 15 seconds to get
going, which is not bad at all. The upconversion from SD dvd's is
amazing and the Blu-rays look out of this world.
The only complaint I have is that the remote is not backlit and when you are watching TV in the dark it can become annoying.
Very satisfiedI'm not too savvy when it comes to electronic stuff, but as I did my
research and found that this Blu-ray device was one of the better
recommended models, I bought it and have been very satisfied. One thing
that surprised me is that as the technology improves with blu-rays,
this device's software can download updated versions to handle those
changes as they occur, thus keeping it current longer than those that
cannot change with the times. The overall quality of the product is great. I highly recommend it... Very satisfied with my player!After much research, I decided to buy the Panny BD35K Blu-ray player.
I'm glad I did. As some reviews point out, it takes a bit longer than a
regular DVD player to load a Blu-ray DVB, but unless you're in a huge
hurry, you don't really notice the extra time. Video and audio quality
are excellent, and the included remote is solid, and works very well.
Plenty of options to customize your playback preferences, and as soon
as I got mine, I plugged it into my home network, and it found a
