I have posted below a Free Resume Example for you to use. Times are hard for a lot of poeple and if you are seeking a new job with little or no money I sincerely hope this helps.
Free Resume Example
Now, more than ever, it is important to have a great resume or curriculum vitae (CV). Usually a CV is used in applications for positions in the medical or legal fields and a couple of other specialty fields or when you are applying for jobs in foreign countries. What we will do here is give a free professional outline example.
Resumes should cover the following areas:• Name, address and phone number(s). Any and all contact info.• Personal profile.• Major academic or professional achievements.• Languages spoken or written fluently. This is an option only needed IF it applies to the position applied for.• Any skills associated with IT are also an option only needed IF it applies to the position applied for.• Your education, training and related general qualifications.• Other optional additions are personal details and hobbies/civic groups/interests only needed IF it applies to the position applied for.• Lastly, personal and business references should be offered. Most resume services count this as optional, but it really needs to be included without being asked for.
As far as a format, you are really kind of free here. You can go with the standard outline style or add your own formatting skills to show off your computer skills. Some word processors even have built in formats available that does this for you as you type. Profile:Tell a little about yourself here. Mention your character traits that cast you in a positive light. This is where you sell yourself, so be sure you can document or discuss the statements made here if asked to during an interview.
Achievements:Here you will state anything that you have achieved, either professionally or academically, if it applies to the position applied for. Promotions, significant raises and above average evaluations are among the things you could mention here. Academically, you could mention membership in a fraternity, special clubs or class offices held. Basically awards and special recognitions go here.
Education and training:List the schools attended, years attended and a contact for verification. For training, the best way to go is to mention special courses taken, focus courses as well as past job training that applies to the position applied for.
Job history:List your past jobs and supply contacts for each one. Keep this simple and succinct. Tell how long you were there, starting pay/position, ending pay/position and give a good contact for verification purposes.
References:I always include 3 references here, even though most resume writing services consider it as an option. The best thing to do is give four (4). Two (2) personal and two (2) business. The above outline is only an example. Feel free to alter it as need be to fit your own style. Just be sure to stick with the outline style and above all, do a spell check BEFORE you send or hand these out. A resume with spelling and/or grammar errors is like professional suicide. Remember that the resume is the first impression you will make on the employer. An interview is dependent on a good, correct resume. Remember to use good quality colored paper if you are mailing or hand delivering. That will help it stand out from the others.
