('roofyagay') was formerly the farm for the Chateau de Rouffiac.
Located near the borders of the Dordogne, Haute Vienne and Correze,
Rouffiaguet is ideally placed for exploring the many places of
interest: archaeology sites, historic chateaux, gardens,
waterfalls,unique events or simply picturesque villages and countyside.
The
market town of St Yrieix ('san tireay')famous for the kaolin used to
make porcelain has a delightful old centre. Larger towns of Limoges,
Brive, Perigueux, Brantome and Sarlat are all within 1 hour.
The
region around Rouffiaguet is known for it's Limousin cattle, apple
orchards, chestnut and walnut plantations and Perigordine gourmet
delights of foie gras, confit and margret de canard.
We are situated
in gently rolling countryside adjacent to the Lac Rouffiac,secluded in
4 hectares of woodland and meadows. We offer all the tranquillity
