Roudet - Beynac - Dordogone at its best

The cottage is situated on a hillside overlooking the Dordogne valley in the most sought-after part of the Périgord Noir. There is a walnut tree plantation in front of the cottage and a large, alarmed 6 x 12 meter swimming pool hidden behind. The road leading to it is private and a cul-de-sac. There are acres and acres of woodland around and an authentic borie, or shepherd's hut, in Roudet's overall grounds.

The cottage has a large living room, exposed beams and a typical large fireplace. The kitchen/dining room below was recently moderninised with built-in ash cupboards, made to measure by a local carpenter. There are two bedrooms, a newly fitted bathroom with a large shower and seperate bath as well and a utility room with an extra toilet. Then there's an independent large bedroom (with its own toilet and shower plus kitchen facilities) that gives on to the swimming pool, 12 x 6 metres with steps as a play area for toddlers additionally protected by an alarm.

The living room contains a couch/single bed. The local village is St. Vincent de Cosse, of Roman origin, and the medieval town of Sarlat is 10 miles away. The most famous chateaux are close by and markets to die for nearly every day of the week. As well as all linen and house towels, those for the pool are also provided.
