Singer 7430.CL
Easy to use, yet fully loaded, this electronic sewing machine features 145 built-in stitches (60 stitch patterns and 85 letters/symbols) and electronic stitch formation with automatic, but adjustable, settings. Some of the stitches include quilting and decorative stitches, as well as all the usual construction stitches (zig zags, darning, and zipper insertion). The unit's hand-look quilt stitch looks as if the stitch line was done by hand, while its tacking stitch proves useful at the start and end of stitching. The machine provides a timesaving built-in needle threader; one-step buttonhole in four different styles; one font with numerals, foreign letters, and punctuation; and twin-needle mode to automatically watch the stitch width when using a twin needle.
In addition, the machine offers a temporary memory with continuous or single-set sewing; six most frequently used stitches available at a touch of the button; mirror image selected stitches; a fully adjustable needle position for getting that line of top stitching exactly where needed, and adjustable foot pressure, which makes it easier to handle multiple layers of heavy weight fabric. Lower the feed dogs to do darning, embroidery, free-style quilting, and the like. Accessories include five snap-on presser feet--a standard presser foot, a zipper foot, a buttonhole foot, a blind hem foot, and a special-purpose foot, as well as a pack of needles and bobbins, spool caps, a screwdriver, a secondary spool pin and felt, a machine dust cover, a seam ripper and lint brush, and an instruction book (in English, French, and Spanish). The sewing machine measures 16 by 8 by 12 inches and carries a one-year parts warranty, a five-year electrical and motor warranty, and a 25-year machine-head warranty.
