Singer Model 7467 Review
I purchased this product thru Amazon, since my local retailers carry only the low end sewing machines, which didn't seem to fare well in the product reviews I found online.
Previously, I had been using a Singer Touch and Sew Model 775 purchased over 30 years ago and it has seen a lot of duty. There are also no repair centers close by, so when my old machine developed multiple problems, I decided to buy a basic machine that could straight sew, zigzag, and make easy buttonholes - but not the bottom of the line machines.
I couldn't find a lot of reviews on the model 7467, but the ones I did find were positive, so this seemed like a good fit eventhough I wasn't interested in all the fancy stitches. Unfornately, the machine performed well only on zigzag - the straight stitch was horrible.
I tried various needles, threads, and tension settings, but once I had tried sewing a little heavier weight fabric, I couldn't get a quality straight stitch regardless of the adjustments. I returned the machine to the vendor, who promptly refunded my money - but it was a $55 expense with return shipping, insurance and restocking.
I know they don't make them like they used to, but this machine was a piece of junk. The vendor said this is the first complaint he had on this model, so maybe mine was just a lemon.
Product Features

* Stitches are optimally set for length & width but you can adjust as needed
* Automatic needle threader simplifies threading the eye of the needle
* Twin needle control lets you know if you have selected a stitch or stitch setting that is unsafe when using a twin needle
