The Rubicon is the top-of-the-line Wrangler. This isn't some cute little Sahara model that looks nice driving to the mall. The Rubicon is built for serious off-road duty. Upgraded differentials and axles, skid plates, very low off-road gearing and heavier suspension components are just a few of the upgrades you get with a Rubicon. However, even if you never take your Rubicon off road, you are still purchasing the best built Wrangler you can find and one that will last far beyond the expected lifespan of an ordinary Wrangler. 2006 was the last year you could get a Jeep with the 4.0L inline 6 cylinder. These engines are legendary for their durability and low ownership cost. The 4.0L was replaced with a cheaper 3.8L V-6 for the 2007 model year.
