Torii is a lovely 2 year old Blue Merle Catahoula Hound. She is gentle, good around children and dogs, BUT she barks incessantly when we take her for walks anywhere she might see another dog. We have had several dog trainers with different approaches, but she cannot be broken of this habit. She behaves beautifully in the house and never fights when she is loose and meets another dog. Ideally I would like to find someone who has another dog about her size and has a large amount of fenced-in property. She needs exercise and we cannot give it to her. I feel I will have to euthanize her rather than desert her to a kennel. Everyone who has met her seems to really like her, but none of my friends have seen her bark so wildly as I have! In the house she is a perfect animal. She does not chew on furniture, urinate inside the house and will hit the door to be let outside. She sits and stays when you open the door. She takes a treat from your hand very gently.
