By pulling on the trigger in the comfortable upright handle, this deep cleaner releases the included carpet/upholstery cleaner and hot tap water. For more stubborn stains or for high-traffic areas, this SteamVac also has a Clean Surge feature, which sends an extra blast of cleaning solution into the stain by simply pressing a button on the handle. When cleaning is complete, release the trigger and the SteamVac forces hot air into the cleaning path so you can do a few dry strokes over the stain. This deep cleaner has two separate water tanks to keep clean water apart from dirty water. The top tank holds the detergent and 1 gallon of hot water and automatically mixes the two so you don’t need to get your hands wet. The lower tank holds the dirty solution picked up from the carpet and unlatches to easily pour out into a sink without spilling. For cleaning stairs or upholstery, this deep cleaner has a long 8-foot hose and a special stair/upholstery nozzle that scrubs out spots. Excellent Carpet Cleaner!The Hoover F5914-900 Carpet Cleaner we just purchased is the best that
we have ever owned. It's cheap, it's easy to use, and yes, it really
does do an excellent job on your carpets!This thing works Awesome!I cannot believe how well this machine works. We have two little ones
and a bunch of pets that are constantly spilling things and creating
messes on the carpet. This machine has been a miracle worker for us.
Carpets looked brand new by the time we were finished. Does not leave
your carpets very wet...drys quickly and beautifully. I would
definitely recommend this cleaner. I think the price is excellent as
well..they could have charged more for this product.I like the brushes,I use my Hoover F5914 ALLOT. I have cleaned things that are not even
visible to the eye, until you use this. I have used almost every kind
of cleaner there is on the market and this one rates at the top. My
sugjestion to the buyer is when you are not using the hose and small
attachment store the hose on a hook and small brush on the shelf in
your closet. They tend to get in the way. The only downfall I have
found is when changing out the dirty tank you will have to prop the
handle up against something or it will go all the way to the floor.
Good note is what water you place down you will pick up leaveing your
carpet only damp for a short while. The key to making your carpet
cleaner work good for a longtime is to throughly clean it when you are
done. Although No Steam, It Will Keep Your Carpet CleanI was anxious to take this baby for a spin after a dismally poor
experience with a Bissell, which I subsequently returned. Since I have
a new wool carpet, the Bissell brushes would get jammed with lint very
quickly. Maybe I had a defective one, but it also did not suck up the
water. Not the Hoover. It has great suction power; the carpet is
practically dry after cleaning. I also added half a cup of Folex per
the recommendation of another reviewer. I don't know if that made a
difference, but the light-colored carpet looks bright and fluffy as it
should. The dirt in the collection tank was quite shocking to see,
especially since I had already steamcleaned it with the Bissell. Nice
work! Although the hose does not really stay secure, I just remove it
while using the SteamVac. I did not need to use the Clean Surge.
Disassembly for cleaning is also fairly simply, once you get the hang
