Fishing Vanuatu.
Vanuatu boasts one of the best Blue Marlin Fisheries in the World. Marlin are caught here all year round. We have the good fortune of having 3 marlin species here and they are blue, black and striped. The fishery is also renown for giant yellow fin, mahi-mahi and wahoo. Vanuatu is situated in the temperate waters of the South Pacific and is very easy to get to from the U.S either via Fiji, Australia or New Zealand. Many U.S anglers make the journey to Vanuatu regularly and have had great success. Two anglers that come to mind are Tom Evans who has captured 2 world records for marlin on a fly rod in these waters and film director Paul Mason who fishes here several times a year and has secured nearly 30 tagged blue marlin in 3 years.
