During college, when we’d be sitting in the dorm rooms doing
absolutely nothing listening to bands like The Eagles or Nirvana and I remember
we had this one guy in our hall that could play the guitar exactly like them so
that we would all just turn the radio off and listen to him play for hours.
Even now years later those memories are clear in my head because
of how amazed I still am to this day at his skill at playing the guitar.
I’ve taken years of guitar lessons to just try and emulate those
melodic tunes that I hear in the back of my mind whenever college memories come
up, and it seems as if I still cannot replicate those tunes.
It seems as if scales have never worked for me, so when I
encountered Jamorama, I was ecstatic, he was promising me to play like the
greats I had once aspired to be.
