Some folks say .. Antler scoring isn't rocket science ... and I beg to differ! especially if the deer you are scoring is alive and well .. and what you have to go by is the digital deer scounting camera pictures you took last season on a deer you never saw again ...
SuRE ... if the buck is dead , and on the ground ... regardless of the system used, coming up with a score for a set of antlers simply involves taking a series of measurements .. DUH? , but the "problem" as BigDaddy states it - it's too late if he does not measure up !! Sure the lengths of the main beams, the four circumference measurements per side, plus the lengths of all points that are a minimum one inch long - That's pretty much the Buckmaster system, and the older Boone and Crockett system takes the process a couple of steps farther .. etc. etc.
