Business Building The Right Way - A Simple Online Site Builder Gets Results! This online site builder will do more than help you set up a website, it will help you establish a business.
I started my gambit as an entrepreneur the wrong way.
Right out of college, I became a no-money down real estate investor. They told me I could do it with no credit, no money and no experience so I knew I was qualified.
After much effort and years of hard work - I was successful! I bought a number of houses using no-money down techniques and rented them out. I still own about half of them today.
The down side is that, even after getting involved in commercial real estate at a high level - doing multi-million dollar deals across the country - I still wasn't getting the cash flow I wanted.
It took me a while to realize that real estate doesn't create much cash flow unless:
- You put a lot of money down (at least 20%) and buy a property with a high cash-on-cash rate of return
- You run your real estate investments like a business (flipping, fix-and-flip rehabs, etc.) and invest a lot of your personal time in the process.
So Where Does Cash Flow REALLY Come From?
Once I realized there was no free lunch investing in real estate, I started trying to decide how to best invest my time (since I didn't have piles of cash) to create a business or asset that would create passive streams of income for me.
I realized that a lot of the people I was working with had built up their CASH FLOW through business, and were then investing that cash into real estate. A successful and profitable business seemed to be the missing link to the puzzle.
But what kind of a business could I, a 23-year-old at the time, put together given my limited "real world" experience?
The best solution I have found to that puzzle is to create content-rich websites (called authority sites) that generate free traffic via the search engines. You can see my first site using this model here: www.gifts-for-dog-lovers.com. (This site was inspired by my guide dog puppy, Kera (pictured at right learning to swim) who my husband and I were raising at the time.)
Although it's not flashy, this site is a workhorse. It creates passive income (a couple hundred a month) without much ongoing effort on my part at all. I just post a new article once a month or so to keep things fresh for the google spiders. (I'm outsourcing these articles to Elance.com where I find writers who do the writing for about $10 apiece, so there's even less work involved.)
Don't take my word for it though. My site's success pales in comparison to many of these other online site builders.
Are You Adding Value?
What building this website about dogs really taught me is that no business is just about "creating a site" or "using a gimmick" to create income. Successful long term businesses ADD VALUE to their clients. Like Zig Zigglar says, you get what you want, by helping enough other people get what they want.
So, what is it that YOU can provide for other people? What service, information, products or entertainment can you provide that will enrich the lives of others? What if you just found people with a certain interest and sold the traffic to others (traffic brokering) through Google Ads or Affiliate programs?
There are lots of different ways to MONETIZE your traffic, the key is in getting the traffic in the first place and creating a relationship with your visitors. That all starts with high quality content and information on your site.
When you start out with any business plan, you have to be able to answer the question of USP - Unique Selling Proposition. What are you offering people that they can't get anywhere else?
With the unique tools available in Site Build It, you'll be able to research what it is that people are looking for in your niche, and then use your brain (that's the hard part) to figure out how to give it to them.
When You Build a Business, What Do You Need?
When it comes to business, you need two things to be successful:
- A number of clients or prospects walking "through your door" and
- The ability to catch these people's attention and give them what they are looking for.
Site Build It follows the C-->T-->P-->M business model (Content--> Traffic --> Pre-sell (e.g. Create a relationship/trust) --> Monetize.
Notice that getting money comes last. First you have to find clients and earn their trust. That's just another place where the Site Build It Model differs from a lot of GRQ schemes out there.
The Prettiest Site In The World Won't Do You A Lick Of Good If It Doesn't Get Any Traffic
There are a lot of websites out there that look slick, and have all the bells and whistles (most corporate sites) but have very little traffic. When it comes to making money on the web, getting good traffic is the name of the game.
There are two ways to get traffic to your website:
- Free Traffic from Search Engine Optimization: Have a content-rich website that attracts BOTH human readers and search engine traffic. (The short-term, spammy, or black-hat SEO sites won't last...). This method costs time, but not much money.
- Pay for your traffic to reach you, using pay-per-click ads and the like. This requires a lot of testing and tracking and can be very expensive if you get it wrong. (You'll frequently pay $0.30 or more these days for each visitor who comes to your site using this method, so you better have something to sell them FAST when they get there.) This method can cost $500+ to test a new product to see if it is profitable.
Site Build It helps you with both of these traffic generation areas, although their philosophy emphasizes the first method more (creating an authority site that will appeal to readers and search engines). Click here to see how Site Build It delivers on traffic.
Also, you don't have to be a master at coding and all the technical details. The site build it platform allows you to create your own design (like I did on my dog site) or you can use a template or have a graphic designer. If you like to do the coding, all of that is available through the platform, but if you just want to focus on telling your story through words and pictures, Site Build It will free you from the technical hurdles of putting up a very powerful SEO-optimized site.
Anyway, the bottom line is that if you're going to be serious about building a business you have just a few simple things to focus on:
- Getting Clients
- Creating Value
- Getting Paid
For most people, item number two in that list is where they want to focus - everyone loves fulfilling their clients' needs with their product or service. It gives us a warm feeling, and it's a lot of why we got into business in the first place.
Items one and three are where we tend to struggle - actually finding people to help and getting paid to do it seem to be the harder parts of the equation.
The beauty of Site Build It is that it guides you step-by-step through the whole process. You bring your brains and motivation and focus on delivering great content and value to your visitors. Site Build it helps make sure the rest is taken care of.
I encourage you to check out this online site builder when you're ready to provide massive value to your audience.
