Great Player
If
your thinking about purchasing this player you won't be disapointed.
Easy set up to my Sony KDL46v2500 Bravia tv, and the picture is
outstanding. No problems loading,no menu problems like some mentioned,
just a very good player. You need to purchase HDMI cables for the 1080p
picture though.
Sony 2nd Gen Blu-ray player
The
second generation of a new technology is almost always worth the wait
and this is certainly the case with Sony's BDP-S300 blu-ray disk
player. Half the price of the original, this sleek new device loads
faster and plays CD's, significant limitations in the first generation
player. Hook up is fast and simple via HDMI or Component video cables
and the set up menu is straight forward. Most importantly, this unit
produces startlingly vivid pictures from blu-ray disks even when the HD
display lacks full HD (1080p) capability. The remote is functional and
programable. My only complaint is that Sony neglected to include an
HDMI cable with the player, an irritating omission in a $500 component.
