This two-year old female hedgehog is a fascinating and unusual pet. Good with kids and other animals. She does not bite or claw furniture. Her only defense is rolling into a ball. Her quills are not painful if handled carefully, and the more you handle them, the less skittish they become. She is an adorable and amusing little creature. Be aware that she is nocturnal, but the more you play with her during the day, the more she will get used to it. She comes with the following accessories:
- a large, custom-built cage on wheels
- a litter pan
- an exercise wheel
- a water bottle
- a ceramic food dish
- a felt hedgie bag with strap (she loves small, cozy spaces and can be carried around with you like a purse)
- a heat lamp
- extra towels (she sleeps in them)
- instructions for proper care
Please only contact me if you are willing and able to take good care of her. Her cage needs to be cleaned regularly, much like a rabbit or guinea pig, and her food and water need to be kept full. She would make a great pet for older children or adults who have a stable household and are home enough to look after her.
