This is a hardback book with dust jacket titled "The Adventures of TOM SAWYER And Adventures of HUCKLEBERRY FINN. It is written by Samuel L. Clemens, introduction by William Donahey and illustrated by Dave Mink. The copyright page states: SPECIAL CONTENTS AND ILLUSTRATIONS COPYRIGHT 1953 BY SPENCER PRESS, INC. This is an exact verbatim reprint of the first edition of Samuel L. Clemens' book and it incorporates all typographicl errors as well as other peculiarities of the genuine, rare first edition. This book has too complete stories. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer has 191 pages and 15 black & white illustrations. Adventures of Huckleberry Finn has 254 pages and 10 black & white illustrations. It has pictorial boards and end papers with a nice picture of a STEAMSHIP. It is in Excellent Condition, well preserved by the dust cover. Pages are nice and clean with no writing or tears. Binding, cover and corners are Very good with only minor wear to the top and bottom of the spine. Dust jacket has a 1" tear at the front top and a 1/2" tear at the bottom spine and some small edge tears. This is a great collectible and would make a very nice gift.
