I’ve been wanting to get my master’s degree for a while now, but it just hasn’t seemed possible, what with the cost of the degree I want. Recently though my mom told me some big news: She is planning on helping me financially with my master’s degree so that I can continue to pursue my college quest. There are stipulations, of course. One of the major ones is that she is only willing to pay a certain amount, which will probably mean that I can’t enroll in the online master’s program I was initially interested in -- it’ll be too expensive. However, I should be able to enroll in my second choice of school, which also offers online master’s programs. Getting a master’s degree has always been an interest of mine, as I absolutely loved school back when I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree. I probably should have gone directly to graduate school then, but I didn’t. I’m actually glad I didn’t, because I don’t know if I would have gotten into the career I’m in now if I had gone to grad school first, and I definitely wouldn’t have met my husband! Luckily I’m still getting my chance to go back to graduate school and get my master’s degree -- without giving up my career. All’s well that ends well, right? |
