1880s President's Wreath Applique Quilt
This is an AMAZING piece of Pennsylvania folkart with President's Wreath pattern, zig zag sashing and 3 borders in red, white and green.
A powerful design!
It measures a generous 82 x 83 inches. Hand quilted 8 stitches per inch. The binding is handsewn and batting is thin. The applique is handsewn. There's scattered age spotting to background and back. The applique is handsewn. Crisp, NEVER USED or washed.
Circa 1880/90s
Collected in Chester County Pennsylvania.
