Where do Atomic snow skis originate from?
The company that originally began manufacturing these skis was founded by Alois Rohrmoser in 1955.
Alois, with four other employees began making alpine skis and the company began its life in Austria and is still based there today.
Due to financial problems the company was forced to be sold to the Finnish Company "Amer Sports".
Amer Sports was also selling/producing Wilson Sporting Goods and many other sports product names.
Although Amer Sports is operated in Finland, the company has kept the location for the manufacturing of the Atomic snow skis line in Austria.
Amer Sports has encountered several troublesome times. Some winters were so warm that resulted in less sales and therefore lowered revenues for the company.
The Austrian national team is well known for using Atomic snow skis.
Many famous skiers have used these atomic snow skis. Their faces are almost synonyms for atomic snow skis.
The product itself has a solid name as a ski and many others also use the brand exclusively.
