I ran a roll of film through it, and will gladly show you the results if you contact me (see bottom), plus images of the camera itself. The images are hosted on another site.

Camera is in very good condition, with only a few paint chips and worn chrome. If you are unfamiliar with the Diaxette, it is a more "affordable" derivative of the Diax camera line. Unlike many Diax's, there is no range-finder, but only a viewing window. This makes it difficult to guess the focus except where you can focus to infinity, but the camera works quite well and the lens has no flaws. Specifications:

Weight: 455 grams
Lens: Steinheil Munchen - Cassar 1:2.8 f=45mm VL*
Shutter: Pronto - B, 1/25th-1/200th second
Accessory: Argus 31mm adapter ring holding a Skylight #1.1A with one broken tab on the ring

*I am not sure what the VL means, but included it seeing as how it was there.

When set to 'B', you must begin winding to the next frame before the shutter closes again. I thought this was due to sticky shutters, but upon removing the top plate, I find that it has to do with the way the gears function. When set to 'B', the shutter of course stays open until the shutter release is returned to the ready position, but this does not happen until you wind the frame advance knob because of a tab that holds the button down.

I also recently cleaned the viewfinder inside and out, so it should be much easier to see through, and will only need to be cleaned on the outside gently with a Q-tip (doused with naphtha, perhaps) if it gets dirty again.

Please make liberal use of AIM if you have it. I will reply as soon as possible -
