It's my belief that low to no carb diets can be damaging to your health.Low carb diet fads began as a result of the infamous Atkins diet. Aspartame, however, has been documented to have over 92 different side effects including seizures, slurred speech, irritability, mood-swings, anxiety, insomnia, migraine headaches and depression.The low-carb lifestyle encourages indulgence; you can consume as much "approved" food as you want. Therein lies its appeal. This ability to "pig out" has allowed fast food producers, casual dining restaurants and snack food manufacturers to market products as healthy.That is precisely why these low to no carb diet crazes are not to be used for the long term.. Research has shown that they are generally very unsafe and can be detrimental to your overall health and safety.
