Pros: Ah, the great outdoors! We all love our camping and hiking trips. They build memories for us that will last a lifetime. Sometimes our camping trips include hunting and/or fishing and sometimes they are simply hiking trips. Unfortunately things do not always go as planned. Hikers get lost. Camping trips can be extended because of many unforeseen events. In short, “stuff” happens. And when stuff happens, we need to be prepared to survive in the wilderness perhaps for several days.

The Outdoor Survival Kit provides emergency and medical supply items. One kit can sustain one person for six days or two people for three days. It’s just easier to enjoy your hiking and camping trips when you know that you are prepared for emergencies. All of the many survival items included in the Outdoor Survival Kit are packed into an easy-to-carry case.

Cons: I’m not crazy about the guarantee and return policy of Out in Style. It seems the company just isn’t going to refund the purchase price unless they made a shipping mistake or the item is defective. You should make sure you want the product before you order.

Guarantee: Out in Style’s website indicates that you can return new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund if the return is a result of their error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). How do you know the item is incorrect or defective if you DON’T open the box?!? Out in Style will let you return most items even if it isn’t their error for an exchange or a FULL store credit (no restocking fee), but if you insist on a refund, they will deduct a 20% restocking fee from it. The only exceptions are those items that are marked as “all sales are final” on the item description page. Shipping costs are never refunded.

Value for money: The Outdoor Survival Kit fills a critical outdoors need at a decent price. It’s a very good value.
