I recently came across a site that lets you download a software which enables someone to watch television on a computer without any additional hardware or outside connections.
I began thinking to myself, "why would I want to watch tv channels on my computer, especially when I'm already forking out ninety dollars a month for premium satellite service?" I mean, the screen is smaller, plus you have to wait for a computer to boot up for 2-3 minutes before you could even watch something (if you turn your computer off).
Then I had an epiphany as to
why I would
want to watch tv channels on my computer! My family attends at least 5-7 college football games a year. We are always impressed by the RVs with their satellite tvs, always surrounded by a group of people catching the pre-game game or news. Now I could take my laptop to the game and watch just about anything I wanted! This website I was visiting claimed there were over 3000 stations available! That means I could watch the pre pre pre game and then some!
As I began to think about it more, I decided that there are MANY reasons I would want to watch tv channels on my computer. My friends and I go camping every year. There is WiFi available at the campground where we stay. Now we have late night entertainment in the tent! With over 3000 stations available, I'm sure we could find something to watch!
Interestingly, The software lets you tap into tv stations that are normally prohibited from the public such as Iraq tv stations, foreign games, and a whole bunch more. There is also a guide which lets you find any station just by searching as you would for something on the internet. I now understand the reason I would want to watch tv channels on my computer.
