Installing a hydrogen generator in your car is not difficult and can be performed without any in depth knowledge of auto mechanics, but having a little practical experience with cars is a definite plus, but it's not a requirement.
A hydrogen hho generator, as the name suggests, generates hydrogen gas, which also goes by the name of Browns gas. It is this gas which upon mixing with petrol, will form a powerful hho gas hybrid fuel which will in turn power your car.
It's important to note here that due diligence needs to be exercised while installing an HHO generator kit. Although it is easy, you cannot be haphazard while installing it. HHO is explosive when in contact with gas, which is the whole point of installing a hydrogen generator, right? But you are not dealing with kid's stuff here. Don't assume that you know it all. If you have a question, ask your mechanic or anyone else who might be in a position to help you.
It's important to inspect your HHO generator assembly before installation. An untested generator might not wok after complete installation and hence may call for a repetition of the entire process. When it comes to the actual installation, there are few things to keep in mind.
Since the HHO gas is vented into the air intake sensors, wiring around this area could cause a flashback. An explosion can also occur if the wires near the intake sensors are hot.
In order to eliminate this possibility, make sure that you install your HHO generator when your car engine is cool. Be sure to place the unit between the sensor and the throttle body, since heat is mostly absent in this area. Again, don’t assume that you know everything and in case of a doubt, ask.
When connecting the electrical system to the HHO generator, it would be a better idea to use a fuse for preventing any short circuit within or near the generator. For different models, different wiring instructions need to be followed due to varying engine designs.
Also, since different engines require more or less HHO gas output because of varying power requirements, it would be wise to use a flashback arrestor mechanism on your generator. Such a mechanism can significantly reduce the chances of any flashbacks or explosions.
Also, be certain that your HHO generator is not running while the engine is shut off. This will prevent any unnecessary leakage or accumulation of Hydrogen gas under the hood.
