Barack Obama has written two books, the first, "Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance" was published by Times Books in 1995, before he entered political life.

Obama's second book, "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream", published by Crown Publishers in 2006, quickly topped the New York Times Best Seller hardcover list. His spoken verions of which won Obama a Grammy award in February 2008.
