Dukie is an energetic 1 year old male that I rescuded from a kill shelter. He was to be put down the very next morning. I have had him for about 4 months now, working with him to focus his high energy level. He loves people!!!!!! He will be a special persons best friend. He loves to please, run, chew, and basically is happy to be alive.
He has learned to sit, stay, down, and now I am teaching him not to jump on people:) He get's so ecxited when he sees new people, so directing his zest for life is a handy tool. He loves to sit on the couch and watch tv at night with his favorite bone.
Dukie was shot in the eye with a BB gun as a puppy and is blind in one eye. He is a beauty! I have been his foster home, and he is now ready for a forever home.
He needs a single dog home. He likes to play with other dogs, though when he bonds with his owner, he becomes possive when (other dogs) are around his caregiver, but not when (other people) are around. He needs an experienced dog person who understands training methods. Dukie needs space to run, a full belly and a warm bed.
Dukie loves affection! He is gentle when eating or taking treats. He is a life lover.
